Forgiveness

A friend texted me something and it kinda bothers me. Not that its something to be afraid of or something scandalous but I really detest what it says. The text goes like this.

"We must not hate people who have done wrong to us.
For as soon as we begin to hate them, we become just like them..
pathetic, bitter & untrue..
Just forgive."

I'm not saying that we shan't forgive others if they do wrong to us. But its very difficult not to hate a person when they do bad things to you. Its just natural to hate others most likely if they did something that you don't like. I can't see how one can be like them if they begin to hate. How can one be pathetic if they hate for the right reasons? How can one be bitter and untrue when in FACT you are just expressing what you really feel? I have watched a TV show where a psychologist said that its better to hate when someone has done wrong and made you feel bad. Why? Because when you hate you have more chance of recovering than being depressed with what happened to you. It can motivate you to become a better and experienced person. And also, it is hard to JUST FORGIVE. It somewhat tells the wrong doer that no matter what they do they can be easily forgiven. Its like saying sorry without being sincere. Instead of learning from their mistake they will worsen because of your easy forgiving. And one thing more.. don't just forgive. Make sure they ask forgiveness first.
